As Katie settled down for the night, she shook her head in wonder. How could she be snuggling down inside a hollow tree in the middle of an ancient forest? How could she have been asked by a powerful wizard to use her new magic powers to help save the world’s ancient forests?
Yesterday she was a normal Australian schoolgirl, holidaying here in the English Midlands
Katie fell asleep, exhausted by the most exciting day of her life.

Katie leaned over further. “There was a gust of wind
last time, and then a cloud of dust blew into my face and made me sneeze. Then they were there. Maybe the wind blew them up. But there
doesn’t seem to be any wind at the moment.” She sighed with disappointment.
“Holy cow,” the girls exclaimed as they scrambled to get their footing in the loose gravel. But it was no use. They plunged, screaming, over the cliff, like sailors deserting a sinking ship. They had no choice but to follow the escaping rail on its death dive.
